Greek - Scottish Lyric coloratura

Annie Fassea, winners of the 'Hans Gabor' award in the 2023 Belvedere competition and a Fulbright Artists Scholar, made her debut as Violetta ‘La Traviata’ in Slezské divadlo Opava  and Zerlina ‘Don Giovanni’ in Bulgaria in 2023.

    In 2024 she performed the role of Clorinda ‘La Cenerentola’ in Olympia City Music Theatre 'Maria Callas', Mahler's 4th symphony in the Athens Concert Hall and will be performing Amina 'La Sonnambula' in Spain, Adele 'Die Fladermaus' in the UK and Violetta 'La Traviata' in the Czech Republic.

Annie was awarded the ‘Hans Gabor’ Award  in the ‘‘41st International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition‘‘ 2023, she is a winner of the International Competition ‘Let’s Sing’ 2022, 3rd prize winner of the "London Classical Music Competition" 2022, was awarded ‘für die Dramatik der Darbietung’ in the finals of the International Lied Singing Competition ‘Bolko von Hochberg’ 2022 and was 3rd prize winner of the ‘Jacques Offenbach Grand Prix’ 2021.
In 2019 she received the Fulbright Artist's Scholarship to study with renowned Metropolitan Opera Bass Dimitri Kavrakos in New York.


She has sung in Kloster Eberbach, Germany with Opera Classica Europa (OCE Orchestra) and conductor Hans Härle, in Sofia National Opera (SNO orchestra) and Silesian Opera House (SOH orchestra) with conductor Oliver Dohnányi. She performed Mahler's 4th Symphony with conductor Michalis Economou in the Markideio Municipal Theatre, Rialto and Pallas with Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, János Concert Hall with GyÅ‘r Philharmonic Orchestra and ‘Maria Callas’ Olympia Music Theater with Athens City Symphony Orchestra. She also debuted the role of Ilia ‘Idomeneo’ with GMD of Erfurt Theater and Erfurt Philharmonic Orchestra conductor Myron Michailidis in the CCC of Heraklion with the Athens Philharmonia Orchestra, the Countess ‘Kritikopoula’ (S. Samaras) and Vera ‘The Apaches of Athens’ (Chatziapostolou) in ‘Maria Callas’ Music Theater, Chloé ‘Daphnis et Chloé’ (H. Büsser) in the Castle of Mytilene, ‘Mozart’s Requiem’ with the Athens Philharmonia Orchestra, ‘Thermopylae’ (composed 2021) by Dimitris Minakakis with ERT National Symphony Orchestra and Pergolesi’s ‘Stabat Mater’ with L'Anima String Quartet. In previous seasons she also performed with the Greek Radio Symphony Orchestra (ERT), ERT Contemporary Music Orchestra, and the Youth Orchestra GYSO (Alternative Stage - GNO) and has had concerts in the Athens Concert Hall, ‘Dimitri Kavrakos’ Hall in Trikala and more. She also often collaborates with contemporary composers.
In 2019 Annie made her debut in the Greek National Opera (GNO) - Stavros Niarchos Stage as Barbarina in ‘Le nozze di Figaro’.

Annie was a member of the  ‘Young Artists Educational Program - The Youth of Opera’ in the GNO where she worked with conductor Dionysis Grammenos (conductor, founder & artistic director of the GYSO) and Michalis Papapetrou (musical director of the ERT Choir, repetiteur and orchestrator). She has a ‘Diploma in Vocal Performance – Opera’ from the Maria Callas ‘Athenaeum’ Conservatory in Athens where she studied with Christina Giannakopoulou and a a ‘Degree in Vocal Performance’ from the Ars Nova Concervatory . She has worked with coaches such as Nicolas Vassiliou (Greek National Opera Conductor/repetiteur/rsamd pg dip), Jean-Christophe Charron (conductor and a pianist, Komische Oper Berlin), Libuse Vindrackova (Silesian Opera House), Dimitris Yakas (repetiteur, ‘Maria Callas’ Olympia City Music Theater) and Christos Marinos (pianist, vocal and diction coach).
